Flower Fairies
‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ ‘Kind’ said the boy.
After reading Charlie Mackesy’s The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse and seeing how he left his books for people in bus stops, I thought it was such a wonderful act of kindness.
This gave me an idea! After I make my bouquets, I am often left with stems of foliage and blooms that would normally be thrown away or not enough for an order. So inspired by Charlie, every Friday I make up 3 mini posies, leaving them on benches in Bushy Park, GPs’ waiting rooms or along the local high streets for people to find. “With love from the Flower Fairy’
It has been so rewarding to hear back from the people who find the bouquets; how it has made them smile, made a hard day bearable or an unexpected birthday treat.
Thank you Charlie - I love being a flower fairy!
